With rising costs, many Tahoe workers must move to Carson City or Reno; they make too much money to qualify for government assistance but not enough money to afford to live where they work.
Alpine Corp. is collaborating with the California Tahoe Conservancy, the City of Lake Tahoe, and Tahoe residents to create an exciting new development designed to elevate the lives of the middle-class workforce. Each unit has a garage that is tall enough to fit an SUV with a ski rack so tenants won't have to clean the snow off their cars in the winter. A bike path allows tenants to ride to work. The Crossings is next door so tenants can walk to restaurants and stores. There is a bus stop nearby. The D building has a courtyard that overlooks the woods and offers beautiful views. The apartments will be brand-new with stainless-steel appliances. Alpine is dedicated to keeping rents affordable for the middle-class workforce. We are locals who want to give back to the community while keeping Tahoe blue.
We encourage your input on this exciting new development.
